Is My Garage Band Demo Good Enough?

Is My Garage Band Demo Good Enough?

What in the heck is a  sweepable mid--should I use a high pass filter? Al Priest, former  front-of-house sound engineer for Dwight Yoakum, Asleep at the Wheel,  Waylon Jennings, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and countless touring artists, explains  the basics of identifying problem frequencies, particularly on the  lower end and creating a great stage mix using analog and digital  technology.

Is My Garage Band Demo Good Enough?

Is your Garage Band  recording good enough for the radio? Maybe not, but it could serve as a  great song demo. Chad Mauldin, a master recording engineer, and  instructor, leads a conversation regarding the differences between a  publishing demo and a professionally produced master. He will also cover  the need for content creation in today’s music scene.

Many years and tours followed including Waylon, Eddie Money, Miles Davis, and the Vaughan Brothers to name a few. Retired from the road and created a boutique audio recording equipment sales and service company,Studio Tech. Was a charter member of the “Dirty Dozen” top audio sales companies in the United States and represented Dolby Labs Professional Audio Products, Sony and Otari for over twenty years. Studio Tech specialized in audio for music, video, film and broadcast post-production recording technology and integration. For the last fifteen years I have stayed active offering acoustical consulting as well as audio system troubleshooting, training, repair, and design for churches and started doing live sound engineering again.
